Description

The Isle of Wight Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of Replacement and Repair of Wooden Groynes at Lake Cliffs and Colwell Bay.\\r\r

To repair and replace the groynes from the specification shown in the highlighted areas of the tender pack to start building beach material and protect the Authority's coastal assets.\\r\r

The term of the contract shall be 04 November 2024 until 07 July 2025.\\r\r

Provision of Repairs to Quay Walls and Infrastructure at Newport Harbour (Isle of Wight) - Phase Two

A survey of the harbour walls which are in the Authority's ownership was commissioned in March 2014 to ascertain the condition of the walls and the level of works required to ensure that they are safe and fit for purpose. The first phase of works was completed in late 2019/early 2020. The Authority has now allocated further capital funding to undertake the second phase of repairs to the walls and harbour infrastructure; the sections requiring attention are detailed on the plans in the tender appendices.
