Idmiston Parish Council invitation to tender for the renovation of Gomeldon Play Park Idmiston Parish Council (IPC) wish to invite tenders for the renovation/replacement of the play equipment at Gomeldon Play Park. General Overview: Idmiston Parish Council seeks contractor proposals for the complete renovation/replacement of the in-situ equipment within the boundary of the park. Other than the existing zip wire, all other equipment is in scope. IPCs desire is for a play area that is suitable for age range toddler through to ~early teens. Desirable: ● Bouldering/climbing rock ● Play/ equipment ● Items suitable/applicable for children with additional needs ● Play items/equipment that is different in design/application to the play park in neighbouring Porton village Out of Scope: ● Sand based play ● Any equipment designed to generate excessive sound (percussion or electronic music for example) Additional Information: Idmiston Parish Council, by advance notice, will gratefully meet any contractor on site wishing to visit and discuss the proposal further as part of the tender process. Gomeldon Play Park is located at the eastern end of Gomeldon village. The site has vehicular access via a tarmac road, East Gomeldon Road, suitable for tractors, lorries and plant. It should be noted that access is through a tunnel under a railway bridge thus there is a limited height restriction. However, access for large vehicles is available up a track on MOD land. An access gate is currently locked at sunset, and opened at ~0700, although this could be completed by the contractor, or the times adjusted by mutual agreement. Design, supply and installation of playground equipment, landscaping and surfacing at Mount Wise Gardens, Newquay

The new play area at Mount Wise Gardens will provide a vital new facility for children residing in the Centre of Newquay. The play park is aimed at primary and junior school age children with some toddler provision. The park should be a welcoming and colourful space where everyone feels safe. It will enable children to play in different ways and allow them to stretch and challenge themselves. Key objectives of the Tender are: To provide a vibrant, colourful play space with a wide range of equipment for the local residents in the area. Designs should be innovative and consider how equipment/play structures for different ages can be zoned to allow play equipment for toddlers as well as equipment aimed at primary and junior school age. Designs should be fun, creative and imaginative with equipment that promotes healthy activity, incorporates risk and challenge and promotes inclusiveness. Designs should make the best use of the space available with adequate space for Minimum Use Zones and allow sufficient space outside the fenced play area for seating/picnic tables. Seating provision will need to also be considered as part of the scope of this contract. Bob Williamson Park Young Children's area inclusivity Project

Bob Williamson Park in Hambleton, Lancashire has a young children's area. The area needs to be made more inclusive through the joining of the existing soft pour base activity islands and benches using similar soft pour surfacing - this is currently grass and makes the area less usable during periods of heavy rain especially for those with prams or disability equipment. Further the metal entrances need to be replaced to make them accessible by all. The Council are also looking to add further play equipment for use by children less able and to replace the existing roundabout with an accessible version. Required - Provision and installation of around 240 sqms of black wetpour. Provision and installation of 2 accessible park gates approximately 1m 20cm high. Provision and installation of a roundabout suitable for use by both able bodied and less able bodied children. Removal and disposal of all waste. Provision of safety fencing for during the works.
