Description
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) is establishing a Framework for the implementation of the Plan for Play programme including: • Lot 1 The purchasing of play equipment, spares and installation • Lot 2 Play equipment defect repairs and maintenance • Lot 3 Design and build of a wheeled park • Lot 4 Design and build of play spaces to include new sites, refurbishments and replacements The framework agreement will be for 4 years and has been developed for an initial tranche of work for phase 1, 2025/26 - 2026/27 of a 5-phase programme, subject to further funding approval. BCP Council currently has a total of 171 play areas, including equipped play, natural play, play trails, multi-use games areas (MUGA's) and rebound walls. Wheeled activity spaces including skate parks and BMX tracks. Across the BCP Council area there are 1,175 individual pieces of play equipment. BCP Council's play stock is in major decline and heading towards end of life soon
