NCC1585 In Work Support Delivery

Business Northumberland wishes to appoint a business support supplier that can provide a pool of Technical Specialists relevant to the field of in work support, staff retention and skills. The successful supplier will: • Engage with employers, targeting those who have difficulty retaining their workforce, to develop a pipeline of clients. • Provide advice and guidance to those employers on a 121 basis. • Develop and deliver a series of workshops focused on relevant themes to those employers. • Successfully evidence the contracted outputs as required by the funding. Employers of all sizes based within the North of Tyne region will be eligible to be supported through this programme of work. To effectively meet the needs of this opportunity, the pool of Technical Specialists will be able to address the retention challenges faced by employers, which are expected to encompass the following areas: • Accessibility • Dispute Resolution • Training Recruitment and Skills • Business Resilience • Change Management • Neurodiversity • Human Resources • Career Planning • Digital Skills • Mental Health The total hours of support delivered to each business will be determined by the initial diagnostic, however, this will need to be sufficient to deliver the output target of at least 45 businesses in receipt of between 3 and 12 hours. The successful supplier will be required to adhere to a strict delivery timeline in order to meet the requirements of the funding. The supplier will therefore be required to have suitable resource to commence work immediately upon award.

The SEDPS is available to organisations with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners.
