United Utilities has concluded the process of awarding framework agreements for its Commercial Assurance & Audit, Commercial & Capital Delivery Resource, and Estimating.
UU has appointed commercial partners that can provide a range of essential activities and consultancy services. These services will generally be programme-level and outcome-focused, with the commercial partner providing initiatives that may include, but are not limited to, programme and contract management reporting, provision of NEC Contract Management Software, training (e.g., NEC), risk and opportunity management, integrated risk and value management.
Framework agreements have been awarded for the following 3 consultancy lots;
Lot 1 - Audit and Assurance
Lot 2 - Commercial and Capital Delivery Resource support
Lot 3 - Estimating

Sustainable Schools Challenge Critical Friend and Sustainability Advisor - C194/2024/2025

The Welsh Government wish to invite Bids to be awarded the Contract for Sustainable Schools Challenge Critical Friend and Sustainability Advisor. Scope of Works Working with Constructing Excellence in Wales, the successful bidder will be required to attend and participate in joint workshops and attend relevant project meetings to act as a Critical Friend for the design and construction teams and embed themselves in the three projects and being available to project teams for advice. Where necessary the successful bidder will be expected to lead in elements of the workshops, facilitating research for their case studies and conduct mini workshops at local level with the participating projects to obtain sufficient knowledge of the innovation and collaboration being undertaken to inform advice and case studies. Attendance in person will be necessary for most meetings which will take place across Wales. The bidders will need to familiarise themselves with progress of the designs and the work of the Critical Friend during phase1 of the design stage. Endowment Fund & Patients Private Funds Audit

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Healthcare Charity (formally known as the NHSGGC Endowment Fund) is a charity registered with OSCR (SC005895) comprising in excess of 1700 restricted/unrestricted individual funds for the benefit of patients and staff. Charitable Endowment Funds: Endowment funds are defined as money or property donated to the Health Board and held in trust for such purposes relating to services provided under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 or in relation to hospitals, or to the functions of the Board with respect to research, as the Board may think fit. Funds are used for equipment, patients’ comforts and amenities, research, and training together with the provision of extra facilities and opportunities not available from government funding. The Boards Endowment Fund had total net assets of GBP103.6m as of 31st March 2025 and expenditure amounted to GBP14.1m. Patients Private Funds: NHSGGC administers GBP2.5 million Patients’ Private Funds (PPF) on behalf of around 500 of its patients. Many of these patients are incapable of managing their own affairs, and are covered by the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, but others choose to use the service voluntarily because of the convenience, or because infirmity or frailness makes the use of normal banking arrangements impractical. The Board is responsible for ensuring proper accounting records are maintained, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the PPF and for safeguarding the assets held on behalf of the patients, including taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. Both the Charitable Endowment Funds and the PPF are required to be independently audited in accordance with approved auditing standards. Consequently NHSGGC is required to conduct a regulated procurement exercise to appoint a regulated independent auditor that will provide this service.

The access and participation plan (APP) is the main lever through which the OfS regulates equality of opportunity at the provider level. In the context of higher education, ‘equality of opportunity’ means that individuals are not hampered in accessing and succeeding in higher education as a result of their background or circumstances they cannot fairly influence. An APP is a strategic document that sets out how a provider will reduce the risks to equality of opportunity within their own context. The OfS wants to evaluate the long-term impact of the OfS’s APP approach and would like to appoint a single supplier to deliver a theory based evaluation. The aim of the evaluation is to understand whether the elements of the APP approach are effective in achieving change in provider behaviour and contributing to improving equality of opportunity for higher education students, from its initiation in 2018 to the 2023 reforms.
