Description

Virtual Machine (VM) Ware is software that allows more than one operating system to be used on a server.  It is used to maximise server use and cuts the cost electronic storage.  

The contract, for licenses and support, has been awarded via NOE CPC (NOEI.0552.0) Total Technology Solutions, for three years, ending April 2028.

The Dynamic Purchasing System is being established by Jisc to provide Digital Preservation System solutions to institutions. Institutions generate, consume and keep enormous amounts of Digital Information (“Data”). In order to ensure the long-term sustainability and access to such Data, institutions make use of Digital Preservation (DP) systems to keep the Data both safe (bit preservation) and usable.
