Description

India's power sector is a key driver of sustainable economic growth and plays a vital role in achieving the country's Net Zero target by 2070.

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify a supplier to support the adaptation and implementation of a load forecasting tool, originally developed under UK PACT, for use in Delhi, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. The project aims to enhance long-term electricity demand forecasting and strengthen resource adequacy planning at the state level.

The supplier will work closely with the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), state distribution companies (DISCOMs), and other stakeholders to tailor the tool to local needs, pilot its use, and integrate scenario-based forecasting. Activities will include data collection, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and the development of a sustainability and handover plan. The project will also demonstrate the scalability of the tool to additional states, contributing to improved planning, regulatory alignment, and more resilient power systems.
