DfT wishes to inform a contract has been awarded for services to develop a robust, causal estimate of the contribution of transport (or lack of sufficient transport) to regional productivity gaps in the UK. This will help inform the policy debate and support the overall case for transport investment by understanding the 'size of the prize' via some Research
