Description
Fenland District Council as a Waste Collection Authority collects dry mixed recycling from domestic and commercial premises. This opportunity is to provide suitably located and permitted transfer stations for excepting the delivery, preferably weighting but not a required element, storage and bulking for onward transport, of this mixed dry recycling. The onward transport is the element of a already awarded separate contract and not part of this opportunity. This transport will be coordinated such that materials are moved from the transfer site(s) at a suitable frequency. Within this opportunity there is Northern Lot (Lot 1) and a Southern Lot (Lot 2). Bidders are welcome to bid for either or both of the 2 lots on offer. The Authority is looking to secure this Bulking Service with suitable proximity to existing collections and/or depot with the aim of reducing unnecessary travel. This opportunity is open for expressions of interest and to access the tender documents from Monday 12th May 11am to Wednesday 16th July 2025 12 noon. The deadline for tenders to be returned via the portal is Tuesday 29th July 2025 12 noon.
