Description

The contract is to provide First Aid and Medical Supplies to the Authority.
The contract covers a range of goods, which include the following categories:
Beds and Furniture,
Cleaning Janitorial & Laundry Equipment,
Continence Management,
Gloves,
House Keeping,
Infection Control,
Medical,
Medical Equipment,
Moving and Handling Equipment,
Paper,
Patient Care,
Pressure Area Care,
Textiles,
Toilet and Bathroom Equipment,
Wipes.
Currently, the goods are predominately supplied into the Authority's Older People Care Service and Disability Service; however, it is expected that any service within the Authority should be able to access the agreement as and when required.

NHS Supply Chain seeks to establish a Framework Agreement for Syringes, Needles and Associated Products under which it will be entitled to purchase supplies and/or services which it will make available for purchase by 1) any NHS Trust; 2) any other NHS entity; 3) any government department, agency or other statutory body and/or 4) any private sector entity active in the UK healthcare sector. If the extension period will be utilised, then the total value of the Framework across the 4 year would be £340,000,000.
