Description

The service is for provision of a Smoking Cessation Service for individuals aged 12 and over who live, work, attend education settings, or are registered with a GP within the Stoke-on-Trent geographical area.
Stop Smoking Service providing specialist support to high risk groups and digital support and signposting to national resources for other groups.
Vulnerable people including pregnant women and their unborn children / families, and people with mental health problems will have access to specialist support to help them stop smoking. This will improve health and wellbeing, and lower the risk of smoking related ill health and premature mortality.
This procurement is being undertaken under Provider Selection Regime.

New Chance Service

New Chance is an intervention for women over 18 years, intended to divert them away from entering further into the criminal justice system. West Midlands Police are the single referring agency into the service and make referrals primarily through Out of Court Resolutions but may also make voluntary referrals where appropriate. Mental Health Floating Support

City of Doncaster Council is seeking to recommission and develop its Mental Health Floating Support Service for individuals aged 18 and above experiencing a range of mental health needs. Whilst the majority of individuals will have lower needs, the service may also contribute to support packages with other agencies for those with severe and enduring mental health needs, including those with dual diagnosis. Some individuals may also have more complex needs as detailed above therefore requiring a more intensive level of support. Users of this service may be at risk of homelessness, loss of independent living skills and social exclusion and social isolation. Some may struggle with relationships and problems with their neighbours. Individuals may live alone or be part of a larger household. There may be more than one individual within a household living with mental health and requiring support where a whole family approach may be more appropriate. Individuals may be in receipt of services from other agencies and/or professionals; however some may not. The Provider will particularly need to develop a positive and beneficial working partnership with the mental health teams, social work teams, housing providers and other key stakeholders in order to evolve the service in a way that complements the work of and optimises the joint resources to create a stronger support pathway for people experiencing mental ill health. **Please note, the contract published as part of this tender is being reviewed in respect of the Procurement Act 2023. An updated version may be published by the Council within the tender period for all bidder’s consideration and the timescales of the tender period may be extended if and as appropriate.**

The Council is looking to procure a contract for the provision of an ASQ accredited advice service provider to deliver universal advice and information to the citizens of Barnsley and a dedicated British Sign Language provision for the deaf community. The aims of the service will be to: (a) deliver advice and information to citizens of Barnsley who seek assistance with a wide range of issues which promotes individuals independence and well-being, including promoting opportunities for individuals to return into employment and/or training, where appropriate.
