Description

The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) protects people in England and Wales who may not have the mental capacity to make certain decisions for themselves, such as about their health and finance. OPG is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Justice. It registers lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), enduring powers of attorney (EPAs), and supervises deputies appointed by the Court of Protection.

The segmentation research aims to inform the OPG of methods of how to grow LPA adoption and facilitate discussions across OPG with regards to which prospective customer groups to ideally to reach and how best to reach them.

This research aims to conduct a comprehensive validation study of the train driver selection process that is used in GB Rail by all rail companies that employ mainline train drivers. This covers passenger operators, freight operators and infrastructure contractors. It will focus on both the standardised and non-standardised elements of train driver selection and be separated into two distinct phases. We consider a phase distinction to be important given the fundamental differences that exist between the two elements of train driver selection and the required outputs for each. There will be a stage gate review between phase 1 and phase 2 to enable review and reflection of the findings and recommendations, considering any additions or adaptions to phase 2 before commencement. Anti-Bullying & Behaviour Toolkit 2025/26

THIS IS A CALL FOR COMPETITION The Department for Education (DfE) has published this Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Best Practice Review and Toolkit. This notice is to announce the launch of procurement to conduct a best practice review and, informed by the findings of this review, create a new resource (‘toolkit’) for mainstream schools in England (ages 5 to 16). This resource will support schools in managing pupil behaviour, reducing preventable exclusions, and tackling and preventing bullying. The work is anticipated to commence in early Spring 2025. The supplier will require substantial research capabilities, as well as the ability to translate academic findings into engaging, actionable advice for schools. As the best practice review and toolkit will cover best practice in mainstream schools, the supplier will need to have detailed knowledge of the English school system.
