Description

Boston Rail Siding, located adjacent Boston rail station, is used by EMR to stable, service
and internally clean two regional passenger trains per night. The servicing and cleaning
elements are currently contracted to an external supplier. No EMR personnel operate within
the sidings at night however the station is manned by EMR employees during the day-time
operation. The regional fleet is a mixed fleet of 2/3 car Class 170 and 2 car Class 158.
EMR is seeking a supplier to provide competent resource to attend the sidings in order to
complete the following services, Tanking, toilet extraction (CET tanks) and interior and nose
end cleaning.

Successful Tenderers may be required to carry out work/services at any location within the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Cleanroom Mop Rental and Maintenance

The selected supplier will provide rental supply and maintenance of cleanroom mops to be utilised in CGTC's cleaning operations across SMIC and STL (which are currently carried out by a third-party contractor on behalf of CGTC). This service will be compliant with GMP, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and relevant standards ensuring the highest level of contamination control. As at the date of publication, the total anticipated volume of mops in circulation at SMIC and STL is 3,460, however the selected supplier must provide flexibility to react to changing demands in CGTC's requirement for mops. Mops should be either dry and non-impregnated, or pre-impregnated with the following chemicals sterilised and at least double wrapped: Sterile Neutral Detergent Non-Sterile HA (Sporicidal Preparation of HA with purified Water) Sterile Zyceine Sporicidal Low Residue Peroxide Isopropyl Alcohol The supplier must provide mops compliant with GMP grade A-D cleanrooms, available with appropriate documentation including certificates of conformity and sterility assurance. Training and technical support must be available when required, either in person or remotely, as agreed between the parties, and for as long as necessary.
