Design Code Pathfinders

Tewkesbury Borough Council, Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucester City Council have been selected by The Office of Place (Now MHCLG) as Design Code Pathfinders to prepare an exemplar design code, covering the three areas. The design code will be a framework for creating healthy, safe, green, environmentally responsive, sustainable and distinctive places, with a consistent and high-quality standard of design. The Strategic and Local Plan (SLP) area has distinct built and landscape characters, and history, and within each LA are further distinct character areas. It is vital future development reflects the strengths and unique character of the areas within the SLP, whilst making the best use of land and protecting/enhancing its unique natural and historic environment. The SLP councils are seeking experienced and visionary Consultants to prepare the design code, aiming to be an exemplar design code for the region. Manufacturing Innovation Centre Moray (MICM) - Service Operator

HIE is seeking to appoint a service operator for the Manufacturing Innovation Centre Moray (MICM). It is expected that these services will be required from September 2025 for an initial period of 3 years, unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the Contract. HIE will have an option to extend the contract period by up to 2 years. The 3-year budget currently available to deliver this service is between GBP 620,000 and GBP 654,000 (excluding VAT). Refer to the 'Timescales and Value' section in the Scope of Requirements and Guidance document for full details on pricing inclusions/exclusions and price increase mechanism. The total contract value in section II.1.5 and II.2.6. refers to the total contract value including the optional extension period/s and allowances.

As part of the BFI 2033 strategy, the BFI allocated £1.8 million to the Research and Statistics Fund (‘the Fund’) for the period 2023-2026. Working with the industry-led Research Advisory Group, and through the creation of independent, trusted and rigorous evidence - including bespoke commissioned research - the Fund addresses industry knowledge gaps, supports policymaking, and gives insight into how independent and cultural organisations can adapt and thrive. All data and research generated is shared publicly. We are piloting a new approach that allows the Fund to be more responsive to industry need to have information quickly on a range of different topics. The deliverables will be used to influence policy and strategically guide the sector. It is especially relevant at a time when there is volatility in business models and technological trends, and a fast-changing political landscape.
