Proc-25-45 The Best EET Forward Project

Proc-25-45 The Best EET Forward Project WCBC Gorwelion Newydd seeks to appoint an adult community and alternative education provision provider, with proven experience to support the delivery of an expanded service provision across the three abovementioned sites, community venues and to its wider school community. WCBC will shortly have two new training spaces at Stiwdio Pen-y-Cae, which will allow for delivery of a range of practical, heritage construction and permaculture-based sessions. WCBC would like to be able to utilise these new spaces fully, including after school, weekends and school holidays. Through the delivery of a recent Multiply Project, WCBC have piloted the above-mentioned courses, (which have included traditional joinery and blacksmithing). These courses proved to have had a huge impact on our young people, who are now keen to learn more about the employment opportunities within the heritage construction and permaculture-based sector. Furthermore, WCBC have made very positive connections with the Community Council and residents through the Multiply project and would like to be able to extend the opportunities presented through these new facilities to a wider audience including a new outreach programme for secondary schools. The Best EET Forward Project aspiration is to re-build self-confidence and esteem, in order for children and young people to successfully re-engage with their learning. WCBC recognise and celebrate successful transition to mainstream or special school settings. WCBC particularly target support at key stage 4 to ensure successful transition into further education, employment or training. Key to WCBC achieving its aspiration, with particular reference to ensuring a successful transition into Education Employment or Training (EET), working collaboratively with the Engagement and Progression Officer WCBC are seeking to provide opportunities for NEET young people and members of our community, which would expand upon the limited provision currently available within WCBC. WCBC confirms that a Conflict of Interest Assessment confirm has been prepared and revised in accordance with section 83. There has not been any Preliminary Market Engagement undertaken for this Procurement Exercise.
