Description

Cadent have an ambitious programme of activities underway, aimed at building the case for hydrogen to be used in our networks and more recently in making the case for the continued use of the gas network supporting, inter alia the adoption of hybrid heating systems, growth in biomethane and a significant reduction in leakage levels to the lowest levels in the sector.
While we believe hydrogen will have a key role to play in the future, for use in industry, transport and possibly in the heating of homes and businesses, the exact pathway to decarbonisation remains very uncertain.
Cadent seeks to maintain a leadership position externally on the transition to net zero and have a robust position internally on the implications of different pathways on the business.
The awarded suppliers will support our programme of activities with research and consultancy services.

Design Code Pathfinders

Tewkesbury Borough Council, Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucester City Council have been selected by The Office of Place (Now MHCLG) as Design Code Pathfinders to prepare an exemplar design code, covering the three areas. The design code will be a framework for creating healthy, safe, green, environmentally responsive, sustainable and distinctive places, with a consistent and high-quality standard of design. The Strategic and Local Plan (SLP) area has distinct built and landscape characters, and history, and within each LA are further distinct character areas. Manufacturing Innovation Centre Moray (MICM) - Service Operator

HIE is seeking to appoint a service operator for the Manufacturing Innovation Centre Moray (MICM). It is expected that these services will be required from September 2025 for an initial period of 3 years, unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the Contract. HIE will have an option to extend the contract period by up to 2 years. The 3-year budget currently available to deliver this service is between GBP 620,000 and GBP 654,000 (excluding VAT). Refer to the 'Timescales and Value' section in the Scope of Requirements and Guidance document for full details on pricing inclusions/exclusions and price increase mechanism. The total contract value in section II.1.5 and II.2.6. refers to the total contract value including the optional extension period/s and allowances.

Delivery of a train-the-trainers course as part of the BNSSG Sponsorship Recruitment Scheme

Care and Support West, which is a representative body for adult social care providers, wishes to appoint an individual or an organisation to develop and deliver content and materials for a three-hour training session that could be delivered to staff teams by internal trainers and managers. Plus deliver train-the-trainers to internal trainers and managers to enable them to run the training session with their own staff. The training content is aimed at local adult social care providers with sponsorship licences to support cultural awareness across their whole staff teams and to promote positive, supportive relationships with their workforce. The development and training will run from July 2025 to June 2026 and will be part of the "BNSSG Sponsorship Recruitment Scheme". The scheme, which is funded by the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire councils, offers support and advice for care providers who have sponsor licences for international recruitment, or who have applied for a licence.
