Description

Hull City Council (The Authority) is sought tenders from interested organisations to provide footpath improvement works for Orchard Park within Faircourt, Didscourt, Chadcourt and Blaycourt, Kingston upon Hull. The tender was an open procedure consisting of a one stage process. The contract is anticipated to commence 24 March 2025 ending by 09 May 2025 with no option to extend.

North Acton to Hanger Lane Cutting Remedial Work

Transport for London (TfL) has identified that cuttings CTS 7 and CTS 8 between North Acton and Hanger Lane require remedial works to stabilise the cutting. The combined length of the cuttings is approximately 1100m. The assets are susceptible to pore pressure levels (the pressure of groundwater in the soil or rock) and displacements and are considered a high risk. Due to the increased number of prolonged rainfall events over the recent years, soil pore pressure build up has become more common and the asset is at greater risk of failure. In 2017, TfL Engineering produced a detailed design for remediating the asset which consisted of; Discrete Bored Piles Discrete H-Piles King Post Wall Asset drainage Re-grading After the detailed design was completed, the business decision was to pause the project due to funding constraints faced by the business. Due to the criticality of this asset and the continued deterioration of the cutting, the project has been reinitiated.

Downs to the Sea - Wet and Wadery

The wetland at RSPB Pulborough Brooks has potential to be a haven for breeding waders and wildfowl. However, there is little control over water on the site. This means that during flood events in winter, water cannot leave site quickly enough. However, when the water levels do drop, they fall too far, and water becomes scarce. By installing 4 new hydrological structures, water control can be regained across the site to create ideal habitat for the flora and fauna found on the SSSI. Access around site is also very difficult which hinders management. Upgrading tracks so they are solid will make management possible in areas that are sometimes inaccessible. Timber Lamination Jig for HMSV Project

The purpose of this Planned Procurement Notice (PPN) is to alert potential suppliers to an opportunity to fabricate a large dimension timber lamination jig for the production of planks for conservation of HMS Victory. The aim of the HMS Victory Conservation Programme is to deliver a fully conserved ship, able to survive in an open environment for the next 50 years without major work beyond a programme of planned maintenance. The NMRN is seeking a fabrication contractor to produce a lamination jig for the production of large dimension timber elements for use in the conservation of HMS Victory's hull. The PPN notice contains Appendix 1 which has concept images of the proposed lamination jig which have been produced by shipwrights based on current known requirements, previous experience and the constraints of the conservation workshops in the Historic Dockyard. Due to the secure location of the Historic Ships Workshop we may not be able to undertake site visits during the PPN. It may be possible under the tender procedure once live. No further supporting documents are available at the time of issuing this PPN however clarifications should be referred to [email protected].
