Description

Unit 4 provides the University's finance system. It is used to raise purchase orders, raise sales orders, claim expenses and run various finance reports. It is considered a business-critical application for the University. The University has also purchased the Research Cost Pricing (RCP) Module and Income Manager Module. Both modules, due to high levels of customisation, are not supported in the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) environment. A decision on the replacement for RCP module has not been made. The University does not plan to replace Income Manager, instead it will use the standard functionality within the web version of Unit 4 to perform the same functions as Income Manager.
The UoE requires an implementation partner to support them in their migration to the Unit 4 SaaS solution and the migration of desktop users to the Web. Moving to a SaaS model will be a major transformation, particularly at the University where there are both a high number of customisations and complex integrations.
