Madeley Centre Play Area

Madeley Parish Council is proposing to create a play area with the installation of new equipment, including appropriate surfacing for younger children. The play area is intended to be used by children with ages ranging from toddler to age 12/13. Experienced play area installers are invited to tender for the contract. It is anticipated that construction work will be carried out in Spring/Summer 2025 with the playground ready for use August 31st 2025 at the latest. An earlier construction programme can be agreed with the Parish Council if preferred by the contractor and subject to successful grant funding. All prices are to be net, excluding VAT. Companies must be registered with the API (Association of Play Industries) to tender for this contract. Please supply copies of current certificate for accreditations for the above membership plus details of any other relevant accreditations. A timescale for commencing this project will be agreed between Madeley Parish Council and the chosen Contractor. PROJECT INFORMATION Name of project: Madeley Centre Play Area Project 2025 Project budget: Up to £75,000 Location: The Madeley Centre, New Road, Madeley, CW3 9DN Unique Identifier: MC1 Madeley Parish Council wishes to employ a Principal Contractor to carry out the supply and installation of new play equipment and safety surfacing for an age range of toddlers to teenager. The design brief: Supply and install new play equipment and safety surfacing suitable for children aged from toddler to twelve/thirteen years. The design of the play area must include equipment which complies with the full identified age range. You are required to show how your chosen play equipment accommodates this age range. The playground equipment should fit in with the rural aspect of the village. The playground equipment should include the following criteria/activities: Swinging, Climbing, Sliding, imagination play and sensory play. The playground should have a "centrepiece" item situated inside the play area boundary. The play equipment must also comply with the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) i.e. all-inclusive play and accessibility. The entire play area must be enclosed with suitable fencing and access gate. The following equipment should be incorporated into the design: ● Swings ● Climbing ● Slides ● Imagination Play ● Sensory Play Preparation and groundworks: Excess materials, spoil and surfacing from excavations must be disposed of at a licenced recycling centre at the Contractor's cost. The Contractor must provide skips when required and secure all skips behind Heras security fencing when unattended to avoid fly tipping. Ownership, liability and responsibility for insurance of the play area and installation works will lie with the Contractor until a satisfactory RoSPA Post-Installation Report has been accepted by Madeley Parish Council. This will be confirmed in writing on the day of the handover of the site by the Parish Clerk or nominated representative and the Contractor.

Property Repairs and Maintenance

In Spring 2024, Moat Homes Ltd published a Prior Information Notice which invited interested suppliers to a preliminary market engagement event aimed at gaining insights around the current state of the repairs and maintenance market, as well as gathering information to inform the future delivery of the service. We are now seeking a Service Provider to deliver responsive repairs, works, including reactive day-to-day repairs to all of Moat's owned, leased and managed residential buildings and associated estate areas, including to the fabric and structure of blocks, communal areas and associated services. The Service Provider will also be required to undertake all necessary works to Moat's empty homes to ensure these are available to re-let to customers, and to provide an out of hours services (including triage communication services and arranging temporary moves). Further details of the required works and services are set out in the Descriptive Document and the associated tender documents published with this Tender Notice. In addition to the initial works and services noted above, subject to satisfactory performance against Key Performance Indicators, Moat may (at its sole discretion) require the appointed Service Provider to deliver additional works and services, including, but not limited to, planned works, cyclical redecoration, building safety repairs and maintenance, and other works/services such as gates and barriers, cesspit emptying and access control problems. Further details of these potential works and services are included in the Descriptive Document. The aim of this procurement process is to appoint a single provider to deliver the services detailed in the procurement documents. The form of contract will be the TAC-1 Term Alliancing Contract (with bespoke amendments) (the "Contract"). This is an order-based contract which is designed to promote effective partnership and joint working in line with Moat's wider objectives. The Contract will be for an initial term of ten (10) years with the option to extend the term for additional periods of up to five (5) years at Moat's sole discretion, giving a maximum possible term of fifteen (15) years. Additionally, the successful Service Provider will be required to enter into a Strategic Alliance Agreement based upon the FAC-1 form of contract. This contract is designed to enable key service providers / contractors which Moat works with to share relevant information and knowledge and undertake specified alliancing activities for the overall benefit of their respective workstreams and Moat's obligations as a registered provider. Faringdon Town Council Oakwood Park Play Area

This project is for the design and build of a play area which will replace the existing facility at Oakwood Park, also known as Ash Close Play Area. The site is a relatively small area serving the immediate community, surrounded on three sides by housing. There are currently several challenges for the Council in terms of general maintenance and the presence of large trees across the site. These include bird droppings on seating and equipment, root system damage to existing and any new surfacing and weeds and moss growing onto the bonded mulch. As outlined in Appendix 3, careful consideration to the new design, surfacing and equipment is required to mitigate these, while delivering an accessible and inviting play area that will be primarily used by younger families. All existing equipment, surfacing, play steel rail fencing (front of site) and any bases are to be removed and disposed of. The project is fully funded; however, the Council may wish to reduce the final budget depending on the submitted designs and other community priorities.
