Description

Horsham District Council (the Council) invites tenders for the provision of Arboricultural Services as set out in these documents. This tender is made up of three lots: tree inspections, tree maintenance and woodland works.
      
      The Commencement Date for the delivery of the services is scheduled to be on 1st April 2025 at 00:00 hours.  The Contracts will be awarded for a period of 5 years until 31st March 2030, with an option to extend for a further 12 month or more periods up to a maximum of 5 years subject to performance and the absolute discretion of the Council.  
      
      The Council is procuring these contracts following the Open Procedure under the UK Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Council's Procurement Code.  The Council will be awarding three contracts, one for the provision of the services detailed for each of the Lots.
      
      Information on the Service Lots are contained in the Specifications. Each Lot has its own Specification, so Bidders need to consider each carefully before deciding to bid on one or more of the Lots.
      
      The Council is seeking to contract with one or more organisations that will manage the Services to the highest levels of satisfaction, professional standards and cost effectiveness.  The Contractor(s) will be expected to deliver improvements to service delivery and value for money over the life of the contract. The Contractor(s) also need to consider sustainability and carbon reduction measures during the life of the contract and will work with the Council to achieve these.

Food security and safety remains a priority issue for UK agriculture. There is need for continued investment in this work, as ensuring the safety and quality of the major UK cereals for human consumption and animal feed remains a top priority for the agricultural industry.<br/>Continued monitoring of contaminants in cereals across the supply chain is essential in order to provide scientific evidence and assure the cereal industry their products are safe, and of good quality, for use in the domestic and export markets. The project will also monitor current and emerging legislation and contaminant issues which could impact on the safety of cereal-based foods and their acceptability in key home and overseas markets.<br/>Closing date by 12noon on the 14 May 2025
