Ashfield District Council is seeking tenders for a single Contractor to undertake general building repairs and maintenance work to properties throughout the District of Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The Authority's detailed requirements are set out in the specification of works. Allow for chemical site toilet/welfare for duration of contracts works. • Excavate through earth bund in 2 places to create 1 x 6m access & 1 x 2m access. • Excavate total area 754m2 x 300mm deep and move soil to tip area max distance 150m. • Install 1 x layer of Terram separation membrane, overfill total area 754m2 with 200mm thick crushed concrete (75mm down) and compact with vibrating twin drum roller 1200mm. • Infill total area 754m2 with 100mm thick Type 1 granite scalpings and compact with vibrating twin drum roller 1200mm. • Place total 120m x telegraph poles to all borders of carpark entrance , parking area and footpath to country park all secured at 3m centres by T16mm u bars with 400mm long fixing legs. • Erect 2 x gate posts 2.2m high from ground level made from 203mm x 203mm x60 MSUB RSJ to be placed 1m deep in the ground and minimum 900mm x 900mm x 1000mm deep GEN 3 concrete pad foundation. Fix cross bar to posts 5m long formed from 120mm x 80mm x8mm steel box section placed on a swing pivot one end with locking device and a padlocking catch the other end. Both gate posts and cross bar to be painted with red and white chevrons/stripes Affix 5m long five bar metal field gate hinged one end and padlock catch the other end.
