NU/2116 - Driving Electrical Revolution (DER) Capital Procurement

Driving the Electric Revolution (DER) is an Innovate UK (IUK) Challenge program to support the UK industry to seize the economic opportunities from the global transition to clean technologies and electrification. The programme will help businesses across numerous sectors including transport, energy, construction and agriculture to invest and work together to capitalise on the UK's strengths in this technology. The DER program vision is 'To make the UK globally recognised as the centre of excellence in PEMD manufacturing processes . As part of that program, Newcastle University was awarded a large grant to establish a new DER Innovation Centre (DER-IC) in the Northeast of England. DER-IC NE will concentrate on the prototyping and scale-up of power electronics and electrical machines. IUK grant is funding the purchase of the systems. The provision of Mobile Plant Equipment Hire & Maintenance - Hornsey Street

The Contractor shall provide the following service to the Client for the duration of the service period: The contract term shall be for three (3) years with the option to extend for a further two (2) years. [1 x Volvo L90H] Loading Bucket Tip of lip bucket 4.5m capacity with trash guard RUBBER BLADE 48" - Medium 911M 1" Lock Washers - Medium Blade (qty: 13) PLOUGH BOLT 1 x 4 (qty:13) PLOUGH NUT 1 " (qty: 13) Windscreen Cage Protection to fully protect the operator from debris falling from the bucket whilst maintaining maximum all round visibility. Roll Over Protective Structures (ROPS) & Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) sound insulated safety care cab with environmental controls. All Cabs to be fitted with Air Conditioning. Air Pre-Cleaner to deal with dusty environment. Reversing Camera Amber warning beacon, audible reversing warning and standard reversing lights, red seat belts. Guarantee that plant supplied will be able to run on solid TY cushion tyres and without detriment to the plant or operator. Auto-lube on board dispenser for difficult to access greasing points, manual lubrication to ground standing operator greasing points. Operating hours are: Mon 07:00am-00:00 Tues-Sat 07:00am-23:30 Sunday 08:00am-17:00 Closed only Christmas Day & New Years Day Frequency of Collection/Service/Testing The Contractor shall provide a fully inclusive repairs and maintenance package within the base price to include collection charges and costs. The Contractor shall guarantee that in the event of plant and equipment failure not caused by the Operator or their agents or in excess of 24 hours, the Contractor shall undertake to supply an equivalent plant at their own cost. In the event that the Contractor is not able to supply a replacement within the agreed timeframe the Company may seek to replace with another hired plant. The contractor shall reimburse the Company the full cost of replacement and shall include any transportation costs incurred as a result of this. All plant and equipment shall hold a minimum of 12-month warranty. The Contractor is to ensure that in the event of any breakdowns (within the company's operating hours) a qualified engineer shall be sent out to site to rectify within 2 hours from notification, to investigate and or remedy the fault and or supply replacement plant. All parts failing due to general and expected wear and tear are to be replaced the Contractor at their cost. The Contractor will produce a list of parts and components which will fall within this category and are exempt within 1 month of the contract commencing. All servicing is to be carried out in accordance with manufacturer's guidance and to the manufacturer's minimum recommended specifications. Copies of all service records and annual inspections will be supplied to the company within 7 working days of all works being completed and retained by the Contractor for a period of 3 years from the expiry of agreement. Upon completion of any and all servicing, maintenance and or repair works the Contractors engineer must supply a signed handover document which states what work has been undertaken and that the plant is now safe, fit for use, fully serviceable and meets all Health & Safety requirements e.g. LOLER or PUWER certification has been issued. Costs for all part, labour and travel through wear and tear are to be included. Solid tyres are to be supplied to begin with as a one of and thereafter will be replaced/repaired by the Company.

ST. ANNE'S on the Sea TOWN COUNCIL TENDER SPECIFICATION The appointment of a supplier and contractor for the provision of Town Centre Christmas Lights for a period of 3 or 5 years to cover Christmas 2025, 2026 and 2027 or 2025 to 2029 at a cost of no more than £100,000 over the three-year period or £140,000 over the five-year period. For: The appointment of an appropriate organisation for the supply, installation, removal, storage, maintenance of Christmas Lights and maintenance of associated infrastructure Date: 15th March 2025 Specification • Provision of some 53 motifs/displays on lighting columns on St. Anne's Road West, The Crescent, Orchard Road, Park Road, Garden Street and Wood Street plus festoons on both sides of St. Anne's Road West. • Provision of up to 4 large free standing LED displays • The decoration of an existing natural tree in the town centre. • Provision of light strings and icicle lights to six public realm domes • This can be supply or on rental agreement for the Tendering Organisation to specify or display as cost options. The Council own a small number of festoons which can be utilised. • To test, refurbish, store, install and connect to power supply and then remove all displays/features/festoons and stored by the lighting provider. • To carry out an annual function and safety check and respond to any issues with council owned LED festoon lights • Consideration of multiple options for proposed new displays • Consideration for opportunities to improve and/or enhance current provision • All decorative displays to be installed, tested, maintained, removed and stored when not in use. • All electrical infrastructure to be tested and maintained.
