Description

Oxfordshire is a thriving county which is home to over 650,000 residents. The county has over 3000 miles of highway, 2600 miles of public rights of way.
Oxfordshire County Council has awarded a highway maintenance contract commencing operational services on 1st April 2025, following a period of mobilisation. The Contract will be for an initial 8-year period with the option to extend for up to a maximum of 14 years.
The services are the maintenance and improvement of the Council’s highway network and include:
Routine maintenance (reactive and planned) of highway assets including carriageways, footways, cycleways, drainage systems, structures, fences and barriers, signs and road markings, street furniture, verges and trees, public rights of way.
Emergency response to incidents on the highway network
Winter maintenance including precautionary treatments and snow clearance
Capital maintenance including surfacing, surface dressing and surface treatments
The construction of highway improvement works up to an estimate construction value of £750,000 per scheme
Design services for the maintenance and improvement works

Highway Marking Work

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council require a fixed term contractor who can assist the Council in the renewal of existing lining infrastructure as well as the installation of new lining schemes around the conurbation. The contract will deliver all types of road-surface painting including but not limited to the painting and removal of lines, symbols, letters. Scope of works includes 1) routine maintenance and correction of defective or worn markings, 2) specific works for renewal, or new lining following an enhancement scheme, surface treatment, or resurfacing scheme and 3) alterations to existing line marking, or provision of new as part of Traffic Regulation Orders, or Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders. The intention of this procurement is to conclude a framework agreement with a single economic operator, the purpose of which is to establish the terms governing contracts to be awarded during the 4-year term of the framework agreement, in particular with regard to price. At the point of award, the parties will be required to execute: 1. A single provider framework agreement to provide the services to the Council when it places future orders in accordance with the framework agreement (see Appendix 4). 2. An overarching zero-value NEC4 TSC Call Off Contract (see Appendix 2) on the understanding that the actual contract value of each future call-off shall be agreed by the parties in accordance with the Standard Services procedure set out in clauses 4.2 to 4.6 of the framework agreement (see Appendix 4)
