Description

The University of Southampton conducted a competitive procurement exercise for the modernisation of one lift within the premises of Building 76X, University of Southampton, Wessex Lane Halls Complex, Southampton, SO18 2NU. The lift is located within a residential university premises and is now some 19 years old and in need of modernisation. It is also intended to upgrade features to comply with EN81:70. The Lift Contractor is requested to assume
responsibility of Principal Contractor for the lift works.

The University of Southampton is not a contracting authority for the purposes of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and therefore its procurement activities are not subject to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Knowsley Council, Trafford Council and Rochdale Borough Council are seeking to establish a Framework Agreement (the Contract) for the supply, installation and maintenance of personal lifts and hoists. The Framework Agreement is for the supply, installation, servicing, maintenance, removal and re-installation of stairlifts, vertical through floor lifts, steplifts and hoists that improve the access to facilities for disabled people with sensory and mobility loss. The supply and installation work will be carried out in both private owner occupied and housing association properties. The servicing and maintenance will be predominantly carried out in private owner occupier's household properties, but could also be required in other tenures. A small number of other items are serviced in respite services and in shared lives homes. The Specification, together with the accompanying tender documents, outlines the full scope of requirements and invites submissions from suitably experienced suppliers. The Framework Agreement (the Contract) will be for a period of 48 months. The Framework will be divided into four lots. A pre-market engagement notice has not been completed as the contracting authorities determined market engagement is not required due to the route to market being open tender. A planned procurement notice has not been completed as the contracting authorities do not wish to reduce the timescales of this tender.
