Description

This exercise is seeking to procure a Contractor to undertake Enabling Works at St George's Guildhall site to help remove the existing seating rake, flooring, stage and other associated fixtures to expose the medieval flooring underneath. 
      Once the enabling works are complete there will be an archaeological investigation ahead of the main contract works which will start in Summer 2025. 
      The client is seeking a contractor with:
      •Experience/ expertise in carrying out works on historic/ listed buildings
      •National Trust/ English Heritage project experience advantageous
      •Experience managing construction logistics in constrained sites
      •Understanding of undertaking works in sensitive settings, such as around the Medieval floor in the St Georges Guildhall.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
