Services in scope will range from ad-hoc advice and representation pertaining to individual casework/transactions, to complex legal advice on contractual, collective and corporate matters.

SIA 926 - Criminal Barristers Chambers 2026

The purpose of this application is to secure criminal barrister chambers and/or barristers from the Attorney General's Panel to act on behalf of the SIA in criminal proceedings at both the Magistrates Court and Crown Courts. The demand for the various matters will vary dependent on the volume of work, whether it can be covered in-house and whether it attracts levels of sensitivity and/or complexity which will require the instruction of Counsel. The SIA undertakes work across the whole of England so Counsel will be required in both London and regional areas to be able to cover such work if instructed and/or be willing to travel. The specifics of the requirements are detailed below including explicit outputs and inclusive deliverables and include: (a) Written Advices to be completed in a timely manner. (b) Hold case conferences with instructing agents as and when required. (c) Representing the SIA throughout all proceedings; and (d) Occasional virtual training events (common topics include POCA, IPA and criminal law updates). Tenderers will be required to meet the scope, in full, to be eligible for award. It is intended that the award will be made to multiple suppliers.

Asylum Support Services in Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced supplier(s) to deliver its Asylum support service. The service is divided into 2 geographical areas referred to as Lots, namely Lot 1 (North Buckinghamshire) and Lot 2 (South Buckinghamshire). Suppliers may bid for one or both Lots. Using Asylum Dispersal grant funding from the Home Office, this new service aims to reduce the impact on council services through the provision of support to asylum seekers and refugees covering: • Information and advice • Language support • Volunteering opportunities • Wellbeing activities • Signposting and supporting with access to key services • Establishing drop-in centres in key locations to provide advice and practical support The services start date is anticipated to be 1st March 2026. The contract term will be for two years. The 2 year initial term ends 29 February 2028. The Council may at its discretion extend the contract for two further extensions of 12 months each, subject to funding. Lot 1 - There is a budget cap of £30,000 for each year of the contract period including the extension periods. (£120,000 budget for the full contract term including extensions). Lot 2 - There is a budget cap of £45,000 for each year of the contract period including the extension periods. (£180,000 budget for the full contract term including extensions). The HCPC requires high quality and comprehensive legal advice and services to support its operational and regulatory functions. There are two separate Lots as part of this tender. The first Lot (1a) covers our requirements for a broad range of corporate law and other specialist advice and services, including in relation to our responsibilities as an employer. The second Lot (2a) relates to our requirements for advice and services related to our regulatory functions, education, registration and fitness to practise (excluding FTP case preparation and presentation services), supporting the HCPC's mission to protect the public through the effective regulation of 15 health and care professions.
