Direct tipping of general waste and skip hire

This invitation to tender is for the provision of Direct tipping, segregation and recycling of general waste and Skip hire to Bolton at Home Group. The tender opportunity is split into three lots as below: • Lot 1 Direct tipping, segregation and recycling of general trade waste > 5 miles of BL1 8TU • Lot 2 Direct tipping, segregation and recycling of general trade waste 5 > 10 miles of BL1 8TU • Lot 3 Skip hire and waste disposal Bolton at Home is seeking to award a contract to one supplier for each lot that can provide the services required as outlined within these tender documents. Partial tender bids will not be considered in connection with this project. The supplier will be able to bid for one lot, more than one lot or all lots. Due to BaH stock being geographically dispersed having two sites, one within a 5 mile radius of the Riverside Office and another between 5 > 10 miles ensures that waste can be tipped promptly across different areas of BaH stock. Restricting to a single location or one out of Borough would result in unreasonably long travel times for some operatives, reducing efficiency. Other reasons include; • Operation Efficiency and Cost effectiveness - minimises non-productive travel time, reduce fuel costs, and limit wear and tear on fleet vehicles. • Service Responsiveness - nearby tipping facilities allow operatives to complete jobs faster and return to site the same day without excessive travel delays. • Environmental Considerations - Shorter average travel distance between properties, the office and tipping sites reduce carbon emissions, supporting the associations sustainability commitments. Using two local sites spreads demand potentially reducing congestion at any one facility Tender documents can be found on the chest portal https://www.the-chest.org.uk/ reference DN775123 or via the link within the notice https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=b638efdf-3a99-f011-813a-005056b64545&p=e0cc5631-4690-e511-80fb-000c29c9ba21
