Description

The Authority invites tenders for the provision of services relating to the receipt, storage and bulk transfer of municipal waste primarily for use by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council. Due to the nature of the Relevant Member Councils requirements there is a specific geographical constraint which defines the location of the Delivery Point to which the municipal waste is to be delivered for this Contract. Over the Term , there is the possibility but no guarantee, that other material waste streams may also be included within the scope of the Contract and/or the nature and degree of segregation of the municipal waste may change. The appointed Contractor will also be responsible for collating and reporting data and reporting performance relevant to the Contract.

Haulage of Waste

Braintree District Council is seeking a reliable and efficient contractor who can ensure timely and correct delivery of each waste stream to the correct predesignated reprocessing facilities. There is a potential that such facilities change throughout the lifetime of this contract. The waste streams currently in scope of this contract are, dry mixed recycling, paper and card, garden waste, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP's), general waste (including litter picking, fly tip litter, dog waste, wood for recycling and general waste skip and wood waste). VAT is £2,100,000 and not £4,200,000 as stated in this notice, due to the intention to only award either Lots 1 & 2 or Lot 3.
