Description

The Property Services department at Worcestershire County Council (WCC) has undergone a number of re-structures in recent years. This has resulted in less provision of internal expertise where some of the more specialised disciplines are concerned.

The Council has generally favoured an outsourced/adhoc model for delivering these functions, calling on the support of specialised consultants where necessary. This has extended to technical M&E and design support, building surveying and project management services.
WCC is now seeking the support of a retained technical consultant, on a term contract basis, to provide an M&E consultancy function in a more formalised and structured manner.

Port of Workington Engineering and Maintenance Services

The requirements of the Port are for a service providing servicing and maintenance of all plant, machinery, infrastructure and installations, within the port estate. Alongside a 24/7 callout service for emergency repairs out of hours as and when required. The contract is anticipated to commence on 01/01/2026 and will continue for a period of 1 Year, unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract. There is the potential for a contract extension of 1 year, depending on both the success in achieving the required outcomes and availability of further funding.
