Description

Maidstone Local Planning Authority (MLPA) is inviting suitably experienced consultants to tender to provide support to officers preparing three Strategic Site Supplementary Planning Documents for Heathlands Garden Settlement, Lidsing Garden Community and Invicta Park Barracks. \r
\r
The three strategic sites were allocated in the Maidstone Local Plan Review 2021-2038 (MLPR), through policies LPRSP4(A), LPRSP4(B) and LPRSP5(B) and require MLPA to work with each site promoter to produce an agreed SPD to masterplan and facilitate delivery. \r
\r
The site promoters produced evidence to support the site allocations in the MLPR and they will now be taking that evidence base further to support MLPA. MLPA will be using the evidence to prepare the SPDs, which will incorporate framework masterplans prepared by the promoters. This will then be consulted on and adopted, in accordance with statutory requirements, ensuring the MLPR policy requirements for the SPDs are met.\r
