Description

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council wish to commission a Smoking Cessation Service that is innovative, adaptable, and aspirational, that supports the council to achieve it's vision for all smokers in Sandwell to be supported to stop or at least reduce the harm associated with their smoking or tobacco use.
The total possible contract term advertised was 4 years with a possible maximum value of £3,600,000 available to deliver Smoking Cessation Support Service of which £1,800,000 is subject to confirmation of government grants monies Local Stop Smoking Services and Support Grant (LSSSSG). Therefore, the initial annual contract value will be £450,000 which may increase to £900,000 subject to LSSSSG grant confirmation and council decision to include this funding within the contract.

GMCA 1386 - Greater Manchester Housing First and Rough Sleepers Accommodation Programme

In 2019 the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) commissioned programme of three pilots with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Liverpool City Region and West Midlands Combined to pilot the large-scale delivery of Housing First in England. The service is for people who have multiple and complex needs who have experienced long term recurrent periods of homelessness and exclusion from services leading to them having difficulties in finding and sustaining suitable accommodation. The pilot has now been delivered for 6 years supporting 568 people to date across the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities. GMCA were successful in competitive bidding processes to secure Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP) properties across Greater Manchester, there will be a maximum of 58 properties in this contract. This tender is to procure a Housing First and RSAP services for a further 12 months (with option to extend for a further 3x12 months) to continue to support those individuals on the programmes including housing those that are yet to secure a permanent offer of accommodation. Brent Council is seeking tenders for the Provision of Care and Support Contracts at Six Extra Care Schemes for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend by a maximum of two (2) years on a one plus one basis (3+1+1). Providers must be able to meet the needs of a mixed group of residents from the community with a range of age groups from 55 years + and a range of needs including adults with physical needs, sensory, mental health (including Dementia) and learning disabilities as well as those with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. Residents will be able to choose another care provider to deliver their assessed hours, or arrange their own care through a Direct Payment, but the successful provider will deliver the core hours in the service.
