Description

HMRC is looking to appoint a service provider(s) for the Trader Support Service (TSS) to:
• provide a free end-to-end support package to manage the processes required to move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland on behalf of traders registered with the service;
• educate businesses on the regime for moving goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, including changes introduced by the Windsor Framework, and the steps they need to take to comply with it; and
• be available to all sizes of businesses moving goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The service will include a digital portal to facilitate the movement of goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, self-serve guidance and specialist support for meeting customs obligations.

Provision of Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Service Training

The Authority is seeking tenders from tenderers ("Tenderer") for the Provision of Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services Training ("Contract"). The Authority) is committed to ensuring the health, safety and well-being of its employees through appropriate Incident Command training and assessment. Incident Command training and assessment will be delivered in accordance with the National Operational Guidance (N.O.G.) incident command training specifications. The National Operational Guidance (N.O.G.) states that: "The ability to lead and resolve operational incidents safely is a key attribute for individuals who are charged with incident command responsibilities. Fire and rescue services should assure themselves that command skills are maintained." There are four nationally recognised levels of command within the fire and rescue service: Level 1 - Initial; Level 2 - Intermediate; Level 3 - Advanced; Level 4 - Strategic. Operational standards that align with the NFCC Incident command N.O.G. relating to these levels are: SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Initial Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services; SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services; SFJ Awards Level 6 Award in Advanced Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services; and SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command in Fire and Rescue Services. Provision of Support to an APHA Tier 2 National Exercise (ASPEN)

The primary purpose of the Tier 2 National Exercise will be to test the Government’s Contingency Plans and established policy, for the control of an outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).  Its aim is not to provoke new policy developments but rather to explore current policy and the arrangements for its implementation. It will also test APHA’s operational response arrangements and expose communications, resilience and capability to scrutiny.
