Description

Lambeth Council is seeking a suitably experienced organisation to work with schools across the borough to co-develop and deliver a service on children exploitation and harm. The service program will focus on primary, secondary, all-through schools, special schools, and secondary pupil referral units.
Some of the key aims and outcomes include:
• To ensure fewer young people are drawn into or impacted by youth violence in Lambeth.
• Develop the self-confidence and self-esteem.
• Ensure online safety program by understanding social media platform usage on influencing/exploitation.
• Acknowledging vulnerability can lead to exploitation associated with domestic abuse, healthy relationships (i.e. Relationships, Sex and Health Education) and terrorism-related activity. The service will be aligned with the programs currently being delivered across Lambeth’s schools to ensure there is continuity of messaging and a shared awareness and understanding of the current issues.

GMCA 1386 - Greater Manchester Housing First and Rough Sleepers Accommodation Programme

In 2019 the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) commissioned programme of three pilots with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Liverpool City Region and West Midlands Combined to pilot the large-scale delivery of Housing First in England. The service is for people who have multiple and complex needs who have experienced long term recurrent periods of homelessness and exclusion from services leading to them having difficulties in finding and sustaining suitable accommodation. The pilot has now been delivered for 6 years supporting 568 people to date across the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities. GMCA were successful in competitive bidding processes to secure Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP) properties across Greater Manchester, there will be a maximum of 58 properties in this contract. This tender is to procure a Housing First and RSAP services for a further 12 months (with option to extend for a further 3x12 months) to continue to support those individuals on the programmes including housing those that are yet to secure a permanent offer of accommodation. Lay Advocacy Services

The Fitness to Practise Directorate is responsible for considering complaints about doctors Physician Associates (PAs) and Anaesthesia Associations (AAs). Anyone can bring a complaint directly to the GMC, including organisations, registrants, patients and their families.(For the purposes of this document a user of the lay advocacy service will be referred to as an individual.) Although we encourage these complaints to be put in writing, there are times when that is not possible or they experience difficulties putting their complaint in writing. Where this is the case, we require an independent lay advocacy service to assist in taking the complaints verbally. The lay advocacy service will also assist and engage with individuals throughout the investigation process where required. The aims of the service are to: - support individuals with a range of communication needs who may experience difficulties accessing and participating in our fitness to practise processes; - improve the experience of individuals who would benefit from support advocacy to engage with the GMC; - support more effective and meaningful interactions with individuals who may be vulnerable or have additional communication needs; - Support the needs of individuals who may require additional communication support as an adjustment in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Brent Council is seeking tenders for the Provision of Care and Support Contracts at Six Extra Care Schemes for a period of three (3) years with the option to extend by a maximum of two (2) years on a one plus one basis (3+1+1). Providers must be able to meet the needs of a mixed group of residents from the community with a range of age groups from 55 years + and a range of needs including adults with physical needs, sensory, mental health (including Dementia) and learning disabilities as well as those with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. This contract opportunity is divided into the following Lots: • Lot 1 Beechwood, Harrod & Tulsi • Lot 2 Rosemary, Newcroft & Willow The contracts will be based on a core and flexi model with only the core element being the “contracted amount”. The core service is designed to meet unplanned and emergency care needs and night support. The flexi hours will be based on service user’s assessed needs and support hours will fluctuate as individuals’ needs change. Residents will be able to choose another care provider to deliver their assessed hours, or arrange their own care through a Direct Payment, but the successful provider will deliver the core hours in the service.
