Description
Imperial War Museums ("IWM") are tendering for a museum showcase supplier to work with us over the next three years to design, produce, deliver and install display showcases for use across IWM branches. Training is also to be provided for the installation and demounting of the showcases. All display cases must fully meet the specification as detailed in the sections below of IWM's 'Display Case Specification: Collections Management Standards' which is included in the tender documents. In addition, showcases must meet the following criteria: ~ Display cases must have a lifespan of 10 years. ~ Display cases must be able to be incorporated into set works elements of an exhibition, not just used as a stand-alone showcase. ~ The full height showcases must consist of individual units that can either be used as single cases or linked together to provide a larger showcase in a number of configurations to maximise flexibility. ~ ~ The unit size of the full height showcase must be able to take a full size dressed mannequin figure. ~ Where tabletop cases have internal lighting the location of equipment such as lighting projectors, LED drivers and transformers, should be made clear, they must be mounted in a suitably vented compartment external to the sealed showcase. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
