CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF PASSENGER TRANSPORT SERVICES

The Provision of Hired Passenger Transport and ad hoc transport services for vulnerable children and adults, young people and for other service areas or schemes that may wish to make use of passenger transport. The services will be provided to meet the needs of: Vulnerable children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are assessed as requiring travel assistance to and from schools, colleges or other destinations. Miscellaneous Workings (scholars) Sept 25

The procurement of the operation of Registered Local Bus services in the local authority areas of Tyne and Wear with effect from 31st August 2025. It is anticipated that c20 contracts will be let and operate between 31st August to 30th August 2026 . Services provided will operate to specified timetables. The vehicles required will be fully compliant with Public Service Vehicles Access Regulations 2000, the Public Service Vehicles Accessible Information Regulations depending on the service tendered, and meeting the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 with a minimum capacity specified in the procurement documents.
