Description

The Authority invites suitably experienced providers for the above Framework for skilled service to provide Minor Building Works Services to Schools and Public Buildings.\r
\r
This Framework Contract will ensure availability of skilled Contractors to deliver the Planned and Reactive Service requiring differing values and complexities as required for the Framework Contract.\r
\r
Successfully awarded Contractors will be required to work together with North Tyneside Council (the Authority) to drive improvements and support the aims and ambitions of the Contract.\r
\r
The main areas of activity may comprise of, but not exclusively be limited to The Authority requires work including: Liaison with Authority Design Team, Estimators,Authorised Officers, Liaison with other Contractors, Extensions to Existing Premises, Remodelling of Existing Premises, Refurbishments of Existing Premises, Maintenance Works to the building fabric & finishes, Repairs to the building structure, Minor External Works,• Minor Ground Works & Landscaping and Production of "As Fitted" installation along with other planned and reactive investment works requiring services to be completed in ether of the following forms; Operational, schools, commercial and any other properties owned by the Authority or its subsidiaries which may also include properties for sale. The specific Projects details that may be procured under this Framework Contract cannot be clearly defined at this stage, however, some additional detail is provided in the Tender documents in the form of volumes and values.\r
The Authority will liaise with the Successful Framework Contractors(s) to commence the Framework as soon as possible after Award, however, has allowed a months mobilisation within the timeline.\r

The Framework has an initial duration of twenty four months plus two extension options of up to a further twelve months each at the sole discretion of the Authority.\r
\r
Following this tender exercise, it is envisaged that up to 8 Contractors will be appointed to the Framework. \r
\r
Responsive Repairs Works will be awarded to Ranked 1 Contractor for the initial twenty four months duration of the Framework.  The Authority reserves the right occasionally to benchmark requesting prices from the Ranked 2 and 3 Contractors to ensure best value. Prices and rankings will remain fixed for the first twenty four months (two years) of the framework. The Authority will carry out an Annual Mini Competitions with all Framework Contractors to ensure best value which may result in the re-ranking of the Framework during the final 24 months of the Framework should the Authority decide to extend. \r

A Mini Competition will be issued for every specific Non Housing Planned Works (Project). \r
\r

Contract Duration 
The initial contract is for 24 months with an option to extend for up to a further 2 x 12  months after which renewals will be undertaken in accordance with the Authority's contract Standing Orders and at the sole discretion of the Authority.

Number of Successful Tenderers 
The maximum number of Contractors to be awarded on the Framework = 8 (eight)

Bluecoat Bistro Redevelopment Project

Following a major capital redevelopment in 2008, Bluecoat has re-established itself as a multi-disciplinary arts centre, with a broad visual, performing and literary arts programme, with a dedicated participation offer, a working community of artists and cohort of creative organisations, businesses and retailers. We will reconfigure Bluecoat's 'Bistro', into a large accessible event & performance space by removing the bar, creating a single floor level, installing sound and lighting infrastructure giving greater flexibility for a range of arts activities. This will enable us to hold performances and programme across music, dance, literature, live art, & visual art. We will build on the success of our arts markets and public fairs and host larger participatory events for our visitors, participants and stakeholders.

PVAL - Civils Enabling Works

Northern Trains Limited, is a Train Operating Company (TOC) that operates passenger rail services in Northern England. Northern Trains Limited is publishing this notice to establish a contract with a single supplier for the Civils Enabling Works relative to the PVAL Installation works at our Northern Stations. PVAL - Civils Enabling Works - The scope of the enabling works will include all cabling, termination to the agreed standards and the installation of the poles (some may be wall mounted) which will host the PVAL head. The PVAL head itself will be installed by others, who will co-ordinate with the Principal Contractor as needed. The nature of the arrangement is that works will be supplied under a JCT Intermediate agreement. Where used throughout this notice, the meaning of Train Operating Companies includes all and any of those train operating companies who, currently or in the future, provide services for the carriage of passengers by railway: under a franchise agreement with the Secretary of State within the meaning of section 23(3) of the Railways Act 1993 or under, or secured under, the Secretary of State’s duty in section 30(1) of the Railways Act 1993; or in accordance with legislation which supersedes or amends the powers referred to in a) and b), including where such powers are transferred from the Secretary of State to another body.  The list of current providers of services for the carriage of passengers by railway under these provisions can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/public-register-of-rail-passenger-contracts.
