Description

Following a house fire that caused extensive damage to the property, including the first floor and roof area of 31 Hawke Road, Ipswich and to a much lesser extent to the neighboring property at 29 Hawke Road, Ipswich Borough Council is seeking to employ a contractor to carry out the reinstatement works. 
      
      The works include potential asbestos removal, scaffolding, roofing, carpentry, roof covering works, internal repairs, testing of services, mechanical and electrical and redecoration works.

The contracts will run for an initial five-year term, with options to extend annually up to a maximum of ten years. The estimated total annual value across all workstreams is c. £6.4 million. The opportunity is divided into three lots: Lot 1 – Repairs and Voids: Day-to-day responsive repairs, emergency call-outs, and works to void properties to ensure they are ready for letting.
