Description

This sets out the Authority’s requirement on respect of a Locally Commissioned Public Health Service (LCPHS) for the provision of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) and/or NHS Health Checks in Nottinghamshire GP practices.
It comprises of three parts.
LARC Component A - Contraceptive Subdermal Implants
LARC Component B - Intrauterine Contraception
NHS Health Checks
Options available to GPs are to sign up to one, two or all of the parts. Any combination of services is possible.
Nottinghamshire County Council will offer contracts to all providers to whom an award can be made because they meet all requirements in relation to the provision of the relevant health care services to patients. The contract ends on 31st March 2028, with an option for extension to 31st March 2030.
This process is being carried out in accordance with the procedure for ‘Direct Award Process B’ under Regulations 6 and 8 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
