Description

Through this invitation to tender (ITT) British Council is looking to hire a professional courier company to provide efficient and cost-effective delivery solution for business-critical service, who can manage the complete courier operation in SSA within local markets and the Region. 2.2 The purpose and scope of this ITT and supporting documents is to explain in further detail the requirements of the British Council and the process for submitting a tender proposal. 2.3 The objective is to create a framework of supplier(s) for British Council who can provide courier services in International market, within local markets and the Region most effectively to ensure value for money. The tendering process is to create a framework of supplier(s) for our services; International Courier ServicesLocal/ Domestic/Regional Courier Services 2.4 How the framework Contract is expected to be structured: The Framework Contract is a 3-split in 3 different Clusters within SSA. Further information around what general service requirements under this framework can be found in section 7 of this document. International Courier Contract For NEQAS/WBMDR

The Welsh Blood Service (WBS), operating under Velindre University NHS Trust, invites tenders for the provision of transport services for biological samples. These services are required to support the operations of two key programmes: UK National External Quality Assessment Service for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (UK NEQAS for H&I), which distributes blood samples to medical laboratories globally as part of its External Quality Assessment (EQA) schemes. Welsh Bone Marrow Donor Registry (WBMDR), which facilitates the transport of donor samples to laboratories worldwide as well as the transport of samples from GPs/Hospitals/Donors addresses within the UK to WBS. NEQAS offer 19 different EQA Schemes, which are available to laboratories or appropriate companies in the UK and internationally (our customers). The EQA service necessitates the regular distribution of blood samples to our customers to allow us to check the quality of their medical tests. Some of the samples sent deteriorate quickly; therefore, delivery to destinations must be ASAP to ensure samples are suitable for testing. The successful provider will be required to Ensure timely and reliable distribution of biological samples, including perishable samples that must be delivered to UK and international destinations as quickly as possible to maintain suitability for testing and non-perishable samples, which can be dispatched via courier or post based on customer preferences. The successful supplier must also be able to provide transport solutions for donor samples originating from GPs, hospitals, or donor addresses within the UK to the WBS, as well as outgoing shipments from WBS to laboratories worldwide.

Courier

Companies House requires a single Successful Bidder to provide Courier Services. The provision is required to: • Courier Services primarily for the distribution of IT equipment such as Laptops & miscellaneous equipment supporting Companies House hybrid employees in working from home. Majority of collections are locally delivered from the Cardiff office, for the delivery of desks, chairs, footstools and IT equipment. • The service will also be used for other movements as detailed for example shipments to 'The National Archives'. • This contract is demand driven. No guarantees are made to the volume of deliveries that will be requested from the successful bidder. • Provision of services is managed at 'Call off' in conjunction with Companies House staff. • Companies House requires a range of service options including same day deliveries within South Wales Area as (defined 15. South Wales Area Postcodes), next day delivery across the UK and delivery within 48 hours to Northern Ireland. • The successful bidder should note that the following requirements are not in scope for this contract: o Office moves o Movements with a cost of over £5,000 - Companies House reserves the right to benchmark quotes from outside of this contract for services over £5,000. o Consignments with a destination or origin that is not our Cardiff office will require additional discussion and negotiation, we reserve the right to make alternative arrangements.
