Description

Cambrian Learning Trust is currently out to tender for the provision of full daily catering and cleaning services.The services at the Cambrian Learning Trust are outsourced. TUPE is expected to apply, details of which can be found in the tender documentation.Catering: The Contractor will be responsible for the provision of a full school food catering service for the pupils and staff at the Trust schools. This will consist of breakfast and morning breaks at some sites and full lunch service for each school day at all sites. Across the Trust there are currently 8004 pupils on roll for the academic year 2024/25.  Of this figure, 1394 pupils are entitled to UIFSM and a further 1283 to Free School Meals. Cleaning: The contract is being offered for three years with the option to extend for a further two periods of 12 months.  The contract commencement date is 01 September 2025.The contract is for a full daily cleaning service during term time and periodic cleaning outside of term.

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering and hospitality services for Bohunt Education Trust. 10 schools are part of the tender, and we are seeking tender submissions for the whole contract. The Bohunt Education Trust is a well-established Multi Academy Trust situated across, Berkshire, Hampshire, and West Sussex and will include at the commencement of this contract the following schools where the successful contractor will be required to deliver a service and meet the requirements of the specification at each school from the contract commencement. The schools which will be part of the tender are: 9 - Secondary Schools 1 – Primary delivered provision •Bohunt School – Liphook, Longmoor Road, Liphook, Hampshire, GU30 7NY •The Petersfield School, Cranford Road, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU23 3LU •Bohunt Wokingham, Remount Drive, Arborfield, Reading, Berkshire RG2 9GB •The Costello School, Crossborough Hill, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4AL •Bohunt Farnborough, Neville Duke Road, Farnborough, GU14 9BY •Bohunt Horsham, Bailey Road, Horsham, RH12 6AP •Bohunt School Worthing, 65a Broadwater Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 8AH •Priory Southsea, Fawcett Road, Southsea, Hampshire PO4 0DL •Steyning Grammar School, Shooting Field, Steyning, West Sussex, BN44 3RX •Rusper Primary School, 2 Cooks Mead, Rusper, Horsham RH12 4PU (No catering facilities - currently delivered service for FSMs) In addition to this the Multi Academy Trust is expected to grow in the number of schools becoming part of the trust during this contract period, and the provision of catering services within these schools when they have joined the MAT will fall under the scope of this contract. The successful contractor will be expected to provide the service within these additional schools using the same costing model, ratio’s etc they applied to their successful tender submission for the Bohunt Education Trust at the point of tender submission. The duration of the contract for these schools will not be increased, and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry into the MAT. The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 1st September 2026 until 31st August 2029, with the option to extend for further terms of 1 +1 years on the same terms and conditions excluding the right to further extend. The contract will be guaranteed performance in nature. The tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose Initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of all catering services within the trust. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a new food service offer with consistent high standards of food operations across all schools. Regular customer and parental engagement (using digital platforms and social media) will be required to ensure this is the case moving into the contract term. These new standards of operation should meet the needs of pupil’s moving forward into this contract term. The contract at each school will operate on a guaranteed basis (return or subsidy) with all universal free school meals and free school meals being charged to the client monthly at net food cost only. All hospitality is to be charged on a net food cost basis. The approximate current revenue within the contract annually is in the region of £3.8m for all schools. Collegiate Trust Cleaning Tender

The Collegiate Trust is a family of schools that exists to improve education in Croydon, Crawley and the surrounding areas for children and young people up to the age of 19. The Trust is tendering their cleaning services in 6 schools in two lots of three schools each with a contract start date of 20th December 2025 and is for an initial three-year term ending on 31st December 2028. Lot 1 Riddlesdown Collegiate Secondary, Quest Secondary, Quest Primary (T/O £570,000 per annum) Lot 2 Woodcote Secondary, Courtwood Primary, Kenley Primary (T/O £260,000 per annum) There is a requirement for termly and annual reviews and a break clause to support both parties should the relationship not prosper. There is an option for a further two years of tenure beyond this date by mutual agreement and the extension is based on qualitative and financial performance. The current contract with Purgo in 6 schools has ended prematurely and the start date of the new contract is the 20th of December 2025. As a result of the challenging timelines, the Trust is using an accelerated competitive flexible process. In this section we include all of the relevant information you will need to prepare your tender response. Some of the LGPS Pensions and the ability to achieve admitted body status with Croydon Pensions is essential. The Collegiate Trust is looking for a professional cleaning contractor to deliver an excellent level of service throughout the year on all campuses. A working partnership will be essential to support the Trust’s requirement to reduce operating costs moving forward. The projected turnover for the three-year initial term of the contract is expected to be circa £2,490,000 for both lots. Should the Trust not be convinced of this they reserve the right to revert to an ‘insourced’ solution or post no award for some or all of the schools.
