Description

Sheffield City Council (the Council), Children Young People and Families seeks to develop a collaborative relationship with South Yorkshire Police (SYP), Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster Youth Justice Services, for the provision of Appropriate Adult Services to provide support for Children and Vulnerable Adults in aged 10-17 years (inclusive) or a ‘mentally vulnerable’ adult (aged 18 years and over) who is being detained by police or is being interviewed voluntarily. The role of an Appropriate Adult is to ensure that the child or vulnerable adult understands their rights and what is happening to them, and to help with communication between them, the police and others involved in custody proceedings where no other suitable adult (e.g. a parent or guardian) is available to undertake that role.

Medication Administration Service

Milton Keynes City Council ('the Council') is currently out to tender for the provision of a Medication Administration Service. Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and Milton Keynes City Council are working together to commission Medication Administration services for residents in Milton Keynes, where requiring support to safely administer their medication is an identified need. Medicines support is any support that enables a person to manage their medicines. This covers prompting or reminding people to take their medicines; helping people remove medicines from packaging; and administering some or all of a person's medicines. Referrals for the service will come from CNWL District Nurse team only and could be located anywhere within Milton Keynes. Any prospective Providers will be registered with CQC, with the registered office located in Milton Keynes. The provider will be rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' in all domains (safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led) at their most recent inspection. There must be no CQC enforcement notices in place. This procurement is being run via the open procedure under the Light Touch Regime. The Council proposes to enter into a contract that will be for an initial term of 3 years with an option for the Council to extend for 2 years with the successful tenderer (Service Provider). Tender submissions must be returned electronically via the Authorities e-tendering portal In-Tend: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/milton-keynes/aspx/Home as per the prescribed instructions in the tender documentation. Deadline for submissions of the tender will be 12 Noon on the 22sndAugust 2025.
