The aim of the Service is to build the resilience of Carers (of people with Dementia) to maintain their caring role for as long as they choose and thereby reduce inappropriate admissions to hospital or premature admission to long term residential care.

The purpose is to offer peer support and to engage fathers and co-parents in parenting and to provide them with a platform to share their unique experiences. The provider will ensure that the group sessions will allow opportunities for dads and co-parents to talk about their experiences, ask for support with specific issues they are facing, meet other people with similar experiences, manage work-life balance, offer mental health support, and to develop social connections to reduce feelings of isolation and to develop confidence.
