Description

North and East Hertfordshire Councils operate a shared waste collection, recycling and street cleaning service.  Hertsmere Borough Council operates in-house waste and recycling collection services. This procurement is for the bulk transfer, direct delivery, processing and sale of recyclable materials. This procurement is being conducted on behalf of all three Councils and is led by North Hertfordshire Council (the Council).  The Councils will work closely together throughout the procurement.This procurement is being conducted under the Restricted procedure and is set out as two Lots. Lot 1 is for the provision of services for North and East Hertfordshire Councils and Lot 2 is for the provision of services for Hertsmere Borough Council. The intention is to award two contracts, one for each Lot.

Swansea Council collect co-mingled glass bottles, glass jars, steel cans, aerosol cans and aluminium cans from 105,000 properties within Swansea. Lot 1 is for a single provider to uplift glass from mixed glass recycling points throughout the Falkirk Council area and deposit at Household Waste Recycling centres. For Lot 2 a single provider will then uplift and transport to a suitably licensed treatment or end use facility.

Household Collections of Textiles in West Northamptonshire District Area

We are seeking a contract for the collection, transport, sorting and processing and sale of textiles from households across the whole of West Northamptonshire Council area.The former South Northamptonshire Council area entered into a service level agreement for a collection by a third party. Textiles within the former Northampton Borough Council area canbe put out for collection alongside a residents dry recycling. There are no arrangements within the Daventry area for the collection of textiles.West Northants Council can promote this service to all it's residents as a legitimate way to recycle unwanted textiles. This may then reduce the amount of textiles found within thegeneral waste bins currently around 6 percent of the residual waste stream
