Description

Tenders are being sought to improve the recreation space at Prospect Street, Horncastle to make it into an attractive, welcoming and safe community space for families. Consultation has taken place with the community and the survey results are shown in the attached specification document. The final design must incorporate some of the facilities identified at Question 2 of the survey.

Our core objectives for this project are:
• create an intergenerational space
• family focussed
• create a safe and inclusive space

Tenderers are asked to provide:
a) details of previous projects of a comparable nature showing the breadth of your portfolio
b) Details of professional warrantees and any guarantees offered
c) Potential start date for work
d) Estimated duration of proposed work

A site visit is essential although will not be accompanied as the site is always open and accessible. One day has been set aside for accompanied site visits. The date is Monday 6th January and anyone wishing to have an accompanied visit must book an appointment in advance. Horncastle Town Council holds ultimate responsibility for appointing a contractor, however, in determining the correct provider, may seek input from the local community.
Interviews with shortlisted contractors may be offered. These will be an informal opportunity for the Council to meet your company representatives as we feel the relationship that can be built with the preferred contractor is crucial.
Details to note: Delivery of this project is dependent on grant funding. If you could assist in this process, please indicate this in your tender submission.

Broadbridge Heath Parish Council is seeking to appoint a qualified contractor for the design, supply, and installation of a "Whole Family Sports and Recreation Experience" aimed to develop inclusive, multi-generational space for sports, fitness & recreational activities. Installation of new equipment on the village green play area

We are inviting quotations up to a maximum of £250,000 for the supply and installation of new equipment on the village green play area in Fernwood village, Newark-on-Trent. The project's aim is to replace outdated current playground and sports equipment and to increase physical activity in children and families whilst reflecting the natural environment of the village and nearby woodland. We are looking for a contractor to replace the current equipment within an enclosed space maintaining the current footprint plus replace the sports facilities nearby. Equipment within the enclosed space should be suitable for an age range of 1 to 12 years old and sports equipment should be suitable for ages 12 to 16 years old. Whilst the internal footprint of the enclosed space cannot change, there is some flexibility to extend the sports area to include additional equipment and activities. If necessary, groundworks can be completed in the area. We want the play features to be eye catching, unique, visually attractive and to reflect the natural environment of Fernwood Village. Your offer should provide good imaginative, inclusive and active play value to help us create a play area for children aged 1 to 12 years.
