Description

The Women's Centre in York offers gender-specific, trauma informed support via one-to-one key work or group work. Women can also drop-in to the centre simply to have a warm drink and to make use of the facilities which include a kitchen, shower, and laundry.
Any woman can access services, particularly those who may:
•	Be involved with, or at risk of entering the criminal justice system
•	Have multiple unmet needs
•	Not be able to access other services
•	Be at risk or a victim of sexual or criminal exploitation
The service offers support across a range of needs in order to improve outcomes for women.

Rough Sleeping Service

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council are seeking to commission a Rough Sleeping Service. The service must include a severe weather emergency provision (SWEP) along with the provision of a drop in / multi agency community hubs. The Council's aim is to end homelessness across BCP by ensuring everyone has a safe place to live that they can call home. The aims of the service are: • Ensure that rough sleeping, where it cannot be prevented, is rare, brief and non-recurring as per the goals detailed in the Rough Sleeping Core Framework • To consistently reduce rough sleeping and the use of temporary and precarious accommodation. • There will be an immediate response to all new, known, reported and suspected rough sleeping sites. Residential Children’s Home Services (block bed purchase) Westmorland and Furness

This Service is being commissioned to ensure that the Council has direct access to residential children’s homes placements within its local area. This will reduce the number of Cared for Children placed at a distance from their homes and local connections. When children are unable to continue to live with their family and need to be cared for by the Council, foster care is often the best option, where they can continue to live and thrive in a family environment. However, in some situations foster care may not be the right option to meet a child’s needs, and a residential children’s home is more suitable at that time in a child’s life. In most circumstances, whether moving to foster or residential care, it is preferable for a child to remain living within their local area close to family, friends, contacts, and education. Children often choose to return to live in their home area when they get older, which can be a smoother transition if they have remained living close. The Provider will have responsibility to provide high quality care for all children placed under this Contract, including their ongoing care, wellbeing and progress. The Council will retain overall responsibility for the child. The Provider must work closely with the Council to ensure that the care provided is in line with Child’s Care and Placement Plans, monitoring progress against their plans. The Provider will also work in line with any other relevant plans in place for the child. Provider’s staff must be qualified, trained and experienced, led by a highly skilled management team with robust oversight by senior managers, the Responsible Individual and Directors. The residential children’s home will be within the Westmorland and Furness Council area boundaries. The accommodation be high of quality including the building, outdoor space, furnishings, equipment and decoration, with a high standard of cleanliness so that children are proud of and enjoy their home

Mental Health Floating Support

City of Doncaster Council is seeking to recommission and develop its Mental Health Floating Support Service for individuals aged 18 and above experiencing a range of mental health needs. Whilst the majority of individuals will have lower needs, the service may also contribute to support packages with other agencies for those with severe and enduring mental health needs, including those with dual diagnosis. Some individuals may also have more complex needs as detailed above therefore requiring a more intensive level of support. Users of this service may be at risk of homelessness, loss of independent living skills and social exclusion and social isolation. Some may struggle with relationships and problems with their neighbours. Individuals may live alone or be part of a larger household. There may be more than one individual within a household living with mental health and requiring support where a whole family approach may be more appropriate. Individuals may be in receipt of services from other agencies and/or professionals; however some may not. The Provider will particularly need to develop a positive and beneficial working partnership with the mental health teams, social work teams, housing providers and other key stakeholders in order to evolve the service in a way that complements the work of and optimises the joint resources to create a stronger support pathway for people experiencing mental ill health. **Please note, the contract published as part of this tender is being reviewed in respect of the Procurement Act 2023. An updated version may be published by the Council within the tender period for all bidder’s consideration and the timescales of the tender period may be extended if and as appropriate.**
