Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Southend-on-Sea (LEVI)

Southend-on-Sea City Council (the Council) are looking to extend the public electric vehicle (EV) charging offer within the city. In 2023 a Cabinet report made several recommendations with the aim of 'Preparing Southend for the EV revolution', following on from this a bid for the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) grant application was made. The remaining balance of project costs will be funded by the Contractor as part of this contract. Market engagement exercises have been conducted and total installation costs have been estimated at £4.800M.
