Colchester Institute, the Contracting Authority, has commissioned Trident Utilities as their Framework Manager to undertake a procurement to establish a multi-supplier, multi-lot framework to enable public sector bodies and bodies governed by public law to access electricity, gas and water purchasing solutions via a competitive call off process.

Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Southend-on-Sea (LEVI)

Southend-on-Sea City Council (the Council) are looking to extend the public electric vehicle (EV) charging offer within the city. In 2023 a Cabinet report made several recommendations with the aim of 'Preparing Southend for the EV revolution', following on from this a bid for the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) grant application was made. The Council are looking to appoint a Contractor to install new electric vehicle charging points within the city, predominantly for residents without off street parking to. The remaining balance of project costs will be funded by the Contractor as part of this contract. Market engagement exercises have been conducted and total installation costs have been estimated at £4.800M.
