Description

The Town Council is aspiring to create a flagship destination at this location that attracts local residents as well as visitors from outside the immediate area. This tender for the replacement of the existing play area with a flagship destination for play is the first phase in delivering this aspirational vision.
The council is considering significant investment into a number of other enhancements across the site in addition to the play area. They may include car park improvements, a seasonal café or tuck shop, water play, improvement to sports and fitness provision. These are in early stages of feasibility and are yet to be fully determined, they fall outside the scope of this tender, however they are mentioned here to give context to the importance of this destination and the flagship play area that is to be created here. 
Interested suppliers should download and review all the documents that are attached to this notice. Suppliers should notify the procurement contact of their interest to bid for the works.
Submissions must be sent electronically and a hard copy by the due date and time, otherwise will be discounted from review.

Kings Gate Play Area Projects (6 Lots)

Amesbury Town Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractor/s to design and deliver new play areas across six (6) locations, to include playground equipment, surfacing, fencing, pathways and associated landscape works as set out in the requirements and specification for each Lot. Developer contributions have been secured to deliver these facilities based on the agreement with Wiltshire Council, with each Lot requiring specific and unique requirements for that location. It is essential that each of the new facilities offers something for a range of ages, abilities, and interests in line with the Lot requirements, ultimately delivering excellent recreational facilities and choices for the community across Kings Gate. Amesbury Town Council is NOT seeking a single contractor to undertake the Works for all Lots. Goring-on-Thames Parish Council Bourdillon playground design and refurbishment

Goring-on-Thames Parish Council invites proposals from suitably qualified companies to design and re-develop the play facilities on the Bourdillon Field recreation ground behind Goring Primary School (RG8 0BG). The existing playground consists of a fenced-in area and a grass mound in the middle. In addition, there is also an unfenced area adjacent to the playground with a combined basketball net and football goal. It is intended to extend and refurbish/redesign both areas. Requirements: The design of the playground should take into consideration the surroundings and should appeal to a wide age group - from toddler to year 6 primary (2-12 years). The open sports area should be suitable for an older age group. Suppliers should use their expert knowledge to recommend specific equipment, surfacing and a design to optimise use of the area available, including Accessible and SEN friendly elements. The playground should be themed with a large structure to denote the theme and to be the centrepiece. The proposals should include, to the extent possible given the physical layout, play-frames, slides, multiple swing sets, a multipurpose roundabout/turntable specifically accessible for wheelchair access, tactile/sensory play activities, log weavers / balance beams and challenging 'risky' play equipment, zip wire. The existing mound area should be utilised or enhanced as an integral part of the design. If suitable within the design and if there is space available, suppliers should include risky play: climbing frames, walk-ways, climbing walls, net/rope climbing frames, pyramid rope climbing frame, tactile/ sensory play: e.g. ball runs, glockenspiel/musical play and other items to stand up at and interact with and tunnels. Existing fencing should be retained if cost effective and extended and re-finished. Existing play equipment, benches etc should be refurbished and/or re-used if suppliers can do so cost effectively within their design concepts. The basketball/goal open sports area will be retained but suppliers should include the cost of replacing it with better and more modern equipment. The existing floor area will be enlarged and resurfaced. Suppliers should include proposals for suitable access paths to the playground gates.
