Description

The Maintenance of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heat Pumps, Air Handling Units and Ventilating Plant. The maintenance contract shall be in the format of mobile periodic maintenance, including consumables, specialist labour plus emergency callouts, spares and specified replacement parts.
      
      The initial term of the Contract will run from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2028. Following this period, the contract may be extended by an additional two years (until 31st March 2030), contingent on satisfactory performance during the initial term and mutual agreement on both terms and costs for the extension.

Professional Services in respect of a full repair and restoration scheme to the Mechanics Theatre, Burnley

Burnley Borough Council is seeking the support of a suitably qualified and experienced consultant/consultancy in the field of architecture or surveying to work with the Council on the development of a full repair and restoration scheme including the incorporation of sustainability measures for the Grade II* listed Mechanics Theatre, Burnley. The Consultant will be expected to undertake the following tasks: • Review of existing surveying and cost information obtained in March-24 and advise upon any additional surveying/investigation that may be required. • Development of plans/drawings and obtain any statutory consent/s that may be required. • Preparation of a full schedule of works/bill of quantities, up to tender stage. This should include provision for professional fees, building regs requirements, prelims, inflation and contingency. • Review of existing Heat Decarbonisation Plan (HDP) undertaken in May-24 and advise upon any further measures that could take the theatre toward a more economically and environmentally sustainable future. There is opportunity to deliver the recommendations of the HDP as part of this works programme and therefore recommendations and costs should form part of the schedule of works/bill of quantities. • Provide estimate costings against the schedule of works/bill of quantities. • Production of a project delivery phase programme. • Work closely with the project team including representatives of Burnley Borough Council, Liberata (the Councils strategic partner organisation), and Burnley Leisure & Culture (who are responsible for the operation of the Mechanics).
