Description

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a supplier(s) with the appropriate service, experience and competitive pricing to supply it with a Domestic Waste and Recycling service. NHS SBS awarded a Sustainable Healthcare Recycling & Waste Management Framework Agreement. North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust wishes to run a 'further-competition' under this framework agreement, specifically Lot 5.1, to obtain the Provision of Domestic Waste and Recycling Service.

Swansea Council collect co-mingled glass bottles, glass jars, steel cans, aerosol cans and aluminium cans from 105,000 properties within Swansea. The co-mingled material is segregated at its Baling Plant in Llansamlet, Swansea resulting in separate waste streams of steel (ferrous) cans and aluminium cans. The cans are separately baled in preparation for collection by or delivery to a re-processor. Swansea Council operate 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres which accept all waste items predominantly containing scrap metal and car batteries. In addition a volume of high tensile springs, from stripped down bed mattresses are obtained. During 2023/24 Swansea disposed of; 1,000 tonnes of scrap metal, 600 tonnes of steel cans, 460 tonnes of aluminium cans, 50 tonnes of high tensile springs and 7 tonnes of lead acid batteries

Household Collections of Textiles in West Northamptonshire District Area

We are seeking a contract for the collection, transport, sorting and processing and sale of textiles from households across the whole of West Northamptonshire Council area.The former South Northamptonshire Council area entered into a service level agreement for a collection by a third party. Textiles within the former Northampton Borough Council area canbe put out for collection alongside a residents dry recycling. There are no arrangements within the Daventry area for the collection of textiles.West Northants Council can promote this service to all it's residents as a legitimate way to recycle unwanted textiles. This may then reduce the amount of textiles found within thegeneral waste bins currently around 6 percent of the residual waste stream
